Bylin provides custom control panels designed to match the snowmelt design for optimized energy efficiency.
The snowmelt sensor turns on the snowmelt system when the temperature falls below 34°F and snowfall is occurring. The system remains on for 3 hours. At the end of 3 hours, the system rechecks for ambient temperature and continuing snowfall. If both variables exist, the system runs for an additional 3 hours. The energy output is matched with the snowfall and optimized energy efficiency is achieved.
The control system includes a "power on" light to let people know that the system is energized.
In addition, the control system includes a 3 position switch on-off-auto that allows on to turn the system off during the summer and allows to turn the system from "auto" to "on" in the event of blowing or drifting snow.
The control panel is space efficient and simply mounts on a nearby garage wall.
