The Roof Ice Melt (RIM) System is our premiere offering for roof and gutter de-icing in Class 1 - heavy to moderate snow load areas. The system consists of metallic panels that embed self-regulating heat tracing cable to provide high power output and an aesthetically pleasing roof de-icing solution. RIM EAVE PANEL - CLASS 1 AREAS

The RIM Eave Panel is designed to mount on the roof eave and minimize the formation of icicles and ice dams during the winter season. It is used in heavy snow load areas with snow accumulation > 15" (38 cm) and annual snowfall > 100" (254 cm). The RIM System consists of RIM panels that use high wattage self-regulating cable providing high power output required for heavy snow load areas. RIM-Eave panels embed 3 runs of self-regulating heating cable for high power output requirements.

RIM VALLEY PANEL

The RIM Valley Panel is designed to mount in the roof valleys and to provide a heated melt path down the valley and prevent water ponding behind ice dams.  The RIM Valley Panel should be used with the RIM Eave Panels to ensure that snowmelt draining down the roof to the valleys does not freeze and form ice dams in the lower portion of the valley.

  • Material Selection: Copper or Kynar painted aluminum

  • Color Selection (Alum.): 23 standard colors, 8 custom colors

  • Heating Cable Supplied:

    • 2 runs per foot of panel
    • Raychem IceStop cable
    • UL Listed and CSA Certified for roof and gutter de-icing
  • Panel Lengths: Up to 10 feet per panel

  • Components Supplied: Power connection kit

 

 

 

RIM LOW-PITCH PANEL

The RIM LP Eave Panel is specifically designed for integration with metal roof systems and for applications involving roof pitches of 3:12 or less. It is used in areas with heavy snow accumulation

  • Power output – 24w/ft
  • Material Selection: Copper or Kynar painted aluminum
  • Color Selection (Alum.): 23 standard colors, 8 custom colors
  • Heating Cable Supplied:
    • 2 runs per foot of panel
    • Raychem IceStop cable
    • UL and CSA Certified for roof and gutter de-icing
  • Panel Lengths: Up to 10 feet per panel
  • Components Supplied: Power connection kit(s)

Note: Heated gutters and downspouts should be specified for eaves above walkways, driveways, decks and lower roofs.
